Smart Restart awarded Seal of Excellence in Covid-19 Response

The SmartGuide Smart Restart program was awarded a Seal of Excellence in Covid-19 response from the European Commission and recommended for public funding.

SmartGuide already supports several governments in their Covid-19 response programs with a cost-effective use of smart and safe guiding technology.

In the Czech Republic, Smart Restart was selected as the flagship project of #hackthecrisis initiative and launched and supported by local government initiative CzechRiseUp. The program was also endorsed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Chamber of Commerce thanks to its positive impact on recovering the local tourism sector. SmartGuide now launches programs with regional governments in the country.

In Singapore, SmartGuide works with the National Heritage Board to digitize heritage walking tours. It is promoted as a showcase project by the Singapore Tourism Board Accelerator amongst 200 technology companies that applied.

In Bosnia and Herzegovina, SmartGuide digitized safe guides for the country’s 3 main tourist destinations - Mostar, Sarajevo and Sutjeska National Park. UNDP promotes the effort as a showcase of supporting the local economy in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

In Peru, SmartGuide is just launching a Smart Restart program in cooperation with a leading local tour operator Waro tours. The project is supported by the Peruvian Ministry of Transportation and Tourism with the aim of boosting tourism post Covid-19, especially in the Cusco and Lima regions.
